Slug Catcher
BKW designed and tested a new concept in slug
catchers for removing slugs of liquid from natural gas pipelines.
The tests proved the design is efficient and considerable cost savings
can be achieved.
The tests were made using a one-sixth scale model of a 20" inlet,
48" separator with 36" storage legs. The picture below shows the
test model with the oil/gas separator and stock tank used in making the tests.
The tests can be modified for clients with special needs.

On a BKW designed slug catcher in Illinois, the cost savings
between the BKW slug catcher and the conventional style was $1,000,000.00.
A BKW
designed 20" inlet slug catcher has been working in Wyoming since 1998.
The BKW design is especially suited for large flow rates above 750 MMcfd and
large volumes of liquids in excess of 25,000 barrels per day. The
BKW design
can be modified to fit your needs.
If your company is considering using a slug catcher to remove liquids from a pipeline,
you need to call BKW for large cost savings.
