| Latest job for Pirelli included the design and fabrication of a jack to be used to pull electric cable through a J-tube.The J-tube was attached to an offshore production platform in 1000 feet of water. The jack was designed to be used in a very congested area of the platform with a load capacity of 40,000 lbs. and a 5 foot long stroke. The jack was segmented and assembled onsite. Two hand pumps were used to provide the hydraulic power. The entire job onsite took 12 hours. | |
